Shelley Nadler

Shelley joined Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP from
Eversheds in May 2008. Shelley has over 14 years experience in
advising on all aspects of franchising. Her expertise lies in
negotiating international and national franchise agreements for
retailers, pubs and restaurants and in the service
industries. She has advised major high street retailers and
restaurant operators on franchising internationally in the Middle
East, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Europe. Shelley has also
acted on behalf of a number of UK based master franchisees and
developers taking franchises from North American franchisors.
Shelley has also prepared franchise agreements for
a large number of UK based franchisors from small start ups to
major national companies and provided ongoing advice and assistance
to them on the recruitment of franchisees, the operation of
franchise systems and dispute management. Shelley spent
several months on secondment to a major print shop franchisor
reviewing internal procedures and documentation.
Shelley has lectured at a UN WIPO conference on
licensing in Belarus and has spoken in China on how to establish a
business in the UK. She is a regular speaker at BFA and other
seminars.
She has written many articles for the franchise trade press
and has co-written the UK section of the Encyclopaedia of
Franchising (published by Kluwer) with Martin Mendelsohn. Shelley
is recognised in the Legal Business Guide to Legal Experts 2006 as
an expert in franchising law.
