Ukraine - Forthcoming Franchise Exhibitions

In one of our recent franflashes, we have highlighted the franchising opportunities that currently await foreign franchisors in the Ukraine with its rapidly expanding market. Areas that enjoy particular growth are:

  • the retail sector with a growth rate at 40%; and
  • Pizza Restaurants with a growth rate of 200% +

The Ukrainian market in franchising is well developed.  Insiders consider it to be one of the most dynamic markets in the region.  Accordingly, the Ukraine presents itself as a possible gateway to the CIS.

There are two upcoming events that foreign franchisors planning to enter the region should consider attending:

  • the Ukraine 2007 franchise exhibition on 14-16 November; and
  • the Ukraine Retail Forum 2007 from 28-30 November.

Both events will offer foreign franchisors a good opportunity to get a first impression of this new and dynamic market.
